This Easter I rejoiced over a new lesson over the love of God the Father.
I was reading "Knowing the heart of the Father" by David Eckman. It just blew my mind again when David Eckman described how much worth and value is the soul of man in God's eyes. He started from how Jesus described humans are worth much more than the birds of the air and the grass of the field. Then the intensity of humans' worth and value increased to those parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin and the prodigal son in the Gospel of Luke.
We are definitely more valuable than the lost sheep that the shepherd bothers to leave 99 unlost ones just to find that lost sheep. We are definitely more valuable than the lost coin that the woman would comb the whole house diligently to find it. And we are definitely as dear as the prodigal son whose outrageous behaviour and his failure didn't hinder the prodigal father from lavishing a great party to welcome the lost son back.
And definitely God values us more than the whole sum of everything on planet Earth... "For what will profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what shall a man give in return for his life?" - Matthew 16:26
Finally Paul aptly described the value of a man's soul by pointing that, "if God is for us, who can be against us? He [God the Father] who did not spare His own Son [Jesus] but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things?" (Romans 8:31-31)
We are worth the life of Jesus, God the Father's most precious gift. Remember when you think you are not worthy, and is think you are still a sinner and struggling with sins , please do not surrender so quickly to these thoughts. Challenge these thoughts with what God says about you. Remember Good Friday and Easter. God had proven that you are worth it.

Exactly 2 Months To Wedding!
Time really rockets, and in 61 days Irene and I will tie the knot on 2nd May. Yeah!!!
You may go to our IQ journey (#2 couple newsletter) for updating you on our ministry.
Prayer Requests:
Please pray for our marriage preparation and support raising of the wedding allowances. And one specific prayer request is for the food tasting at Peony Jade restaurant on 19th March where both our parents will meet to discuss about "Guo Da LI" (some tradition stuff) and certain traditional practice for the wedding. Thank God that my mom was okay with us for not offering joss sticks to the house god, but we are not sure how the discussion at the food tasting will turn out. So pray that Irene and I have the wisdom and courage to say "NO" to certain ritualistic practice that have spiritual implications in the course of discussion.
Thank you for praying alongside with us.

Praying On Two Sleepless Nights
Dear Friends and Supporters,
Praying Without Ceasing & Sleeping
For 22nd Jan and 23rd Jan morning from 1AM-4AM, I will be praying for our nation, Singapore, as part of the 24/7 prayer chain. SCCC has taken over the prayer baton from Faith Community Baptist Church this week to be interceding for Singapore as part of the Love Singapore movement to unite the churches in Singapore to intercede for the land. I'm privileged to lead the prayer time to intercede for the "Family" mountain on 23rd morning. Please pray for the Lord to sustain us as we are praying in the time slot where it's the hardest to stay awake. You may also go to http://pray247.sccc.sg/ to see why and what we are praying for Singapore this week.
Fuzhou Mission Trip (29th Nov - 9th Dec)
I hope to upload a report of my trip on my blog before Chinese New Year. In summary, we reached out to 250 youths of whom half are from non-Christians. One highlight of the trip is my personal recee trip to witness the movement of Christians in Fuzhou city. I was there to explore further partnership with a mission agency. It was just inspiring to see many groups of new Christians 2 months - 5 months (students, migrant workers) of how they were trained in a week and then sent out to share their faith. If God willing, I prayed that I would formed 2 mission teams to Fuzhou this year.
Campus Internet Ministry or A Virtually-Led Movement
Please pray for the next direction where this campus internet ministry is heading. There were tangible results, but there was a holy dissatisfaction that this ministry should become a movement. Pray that I would be patient with the Lord especially I have plans to host our evangelistic website EveryStudent.com from the US to Singapore and recruit students or staff to form a web team where we can strategize to use the web and mobile technology to build a Virtually-Led movement. See http://epal.sccc.org.sg/escomstats for 2008 results of EveryStudent.com and number of emails received. In next email, I will share with you how another EveryStudent.com contact came to receive Christ, and gave his testimony at NUS. Look out for this story soon on my blog after I interview him!
The Demise of Uncle Sankaran
I'm so deeply affected by Uncle Sank's demise that I can't help missing him every day. Please go to http://www.sccc.sg/ops-hub/sankarans-obituary.html to read about his life. Other than Dr Bill Bright, Uncle Sank is most zealous in evangelizing to the lost through his personal witnessing, his writings, and through his Internet Ministry. I wished you were all there at his wake to hear the stories of the many many lives he had touched. Thank you Uncle Sank for giving your life to the Lord and model for me what it means to follow Christ passionately and faithfully.
Co-labouring with you in the Lord's Global Harvest,
Kheng Boon (aka Qingwen)
